Drudge: Prepare yourself for the “Year of Alex Jones”

By Tim Peacock

Alex Jones
In a tweet from his personal account recently, Matt Drudge of the notoriously right wing and often scandalous Drudge Report (a conservative content aggregator that frequently sides with conspiracy theorists) said that he believes 2013 will be the “year of Alex Jones.” In case you’ve missed any of the stories I or other left-leaning news sources have written on Jones, here’s a small sampling. Media Matters also assembled an impressive collection of Jones’ indiscretions as well in their article on Drudge’s tweet. In addition to the reminders of Jones’ activities, Media Matters also assembled a greatest hit album of Alex Jones’ most memorable in-studio radio show moments to highlight Matt Drudge’s point. If that’s what qualifies someone as having a “year of” status, the Republican party in general must be having a terrific year.
