Todd Kincannon Wishes Iraq Veteran Would've ‘Come Home in a Body Bag’

By Tim Peacock

The self-proclaimed leader of the Twitter Gulag Defense Network (TGDN) and former South Carolina GOP executive director Todd Kincannon has once again put his name in the headlines. The last time Kincannon made the news he was sending out racist tweets about Trayvon Martin; this time, he may have a much larger problem on his hand. Over the weekend, Kincannon angrily tweeted at a man (Michael Prysner) who once supported the war in Iraq that has since changed his mind and no longer supports the war effort.

The argument began with the tweet linked above where Prsyner defended Hugo Chavez and the argument that an American police officer was a “coward and a sociopath.” Kincannon responded, "What do you get when you combine asshattery and jizzwhistlery with a side of epic douchebaggery? Why, you get @MikePrysner!" In his next tweet, Kincannon said "This cocksucker @MikePrysner insults American policemen yet thinks Hugo Chavez, currently burning in Hell, was a misunderstood humanitarian." Sometime between his second and third tweets about Prysner, Kincannon apparently discovered that his target was a veteran - specifically, a veteran of the Iraq war.

Kincannon's third tweet crossed the line when Kincannon said, "You are an Iraq veteran? Shame you didn’t come home in a body bag." The insults didn't stop there. "I wish the Iraqis had better aim with his ass," he said. And in what's probably the most offensive tweet, Kincannon said, "I hope if that guy is ever in combat again, the enemy splatters his brains JFK-style. He deserves it."

And - in the inevitable end to every conservative wingnut argument - Kincannon invoked Godwin's Law by saying that he can criticize veterans all he wants since Hitler was a veteran. "Hitler was a veteran too. Serving in the military is honorable, but it damn well isn't cover for being a piece of shit afterwards." It's a telling commentary both on the state of TGDN as well as Kincannon's career as a "professional" Republican. At one point in his endless post-smear arguments with those who called him out for crossing the line, someone apparently asked what his employers thought of his language and treatment of veterans - to which he replied, "Funny thing. The boss of the office and department I work for is me. So go suck a boatload of Chinaman dicks, twat."

Stay classy, Republicans.
