In case you didn't watch the Super Bowl yesterday, the Mayor Bloomberg-lead gun control group Mayors Against Illegal Guns sponsored a commercial calling for universal background checks for gun ownership. As a component of their Demand a Plan campaign, the commercial called on Congress to act on this critical need that could help reduce gun violence through adequate gun screening. The ad - which utilizes images and voices of those affected the most by gun violence - also calls out the NRA for their flip-flop on background checks. Here's the spot that aired:
